We are in an awful mess. Fact is we have all sinned, and since the wages of sin is death, we all deserve to die. The GOOD NEWS that is the Gospel Message lets us know that If we confess our sins, JESUS if faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.

 

Sound too good to be true? Fact is God Loves us and WANTS to have all of us in His kingdom for eternity.

 

This is just too much for us. There is no way that we can ever earn our own salvation or that of anyone else. We are totally dependent on JESUS Who is the only way to the Father. We are not saved by any of our works. In fact all our works are as valuable as filthy rages. We have nothing to contribute. It is all JESUS.

 

Will you accept Him as your Savior from sin? We are saved by GRACE through FAITH not of works. No room for boasting on our part. It is all of JESUS. From a heart of love obedience will follow of course, that is if we love Him.

In a world where wrong seems right and it is unclear if there are any real rules to follow, this episode will get us thinking healthy thoughts again.

There is a way that seems right, says the Wise Man in Proverbs, but the end thereof is the way of death. Denying the law to be true doesn’t change the law does it?

Adam and Eve, Abraham and Joseph all knew what the commandments of God were before God put them in writing with his Finger on the tables of stone and handed them to Moses. God’s Law, His Ten Commandments, act as a guardrail to protect us from harm.

The important thing JESUS taught is that IF we LOVE Him we will keep HIS commandments. Willing obedience flows from love and a heart of loyalty. The heart of rebellion will obey only when it is forced to do so.

We are not doomed to an endless treadmill of work, work, work. Our Creator Who loves us very much and even died to save us from sin, has also provided for, and even commanded us to REST IN HIM. The Apostle John reminds us the three reasons why God is worthy of our worship. One of them is because He is our Creator. He is also the One that makes us Holy and observing His Sabbath is a sign to us that He is the One that makes us holy. It is all about resting in JESUS. Enjoy the joys of Sabbath Rest.

Evolution seems pretty far fetched when you take a close look at the design of the eye, how birds migrate hundreds of miles, and fish find their way to the stream where they were hatched and travel hundreds of miles. How does all of this happen? By chance or design?

Hard to believe but we have thought things to be true and wise that turns out to be anything but true.

Myths abound and it is hard for us to let go of the myths because after all it is what our parents and grandparents told us to be true. Well thinking a thing is true for a very long time does not make it true. You may be surprised to discover there are myths taught as fact in the religious world as well.

Not too many look forward to standing before a judge. What will the judge say? How will his judgment affect us? Will we ALL really stand before the Judge even if we count ourselves as Christians?

When did the judgement start? Who is our Advocate? What is the basis of the judgment? Who are the witnesses?

Bottom line is that when we know the Judge, and we know that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, then facing The Heavenly Judge is a reason for facing the Judge with confidence. The timeline is clearly spelled out once we drop in the date of the starting event which is known in history.

When we have lost a loved one in death we may feel so very lonely and want to see them again. JESUS said we would be caught up together to meet Him in the air when He returns. He refers to death as a sleep. JESUS refers to Himself as the One that is living and was dead. The is a curious statement if everyone keeps on living when they are dead. The living know they will die but the dead know not anything. Really? Is that what the Bible says?

The serpent in the tree said no you won’t die. The Creator said if you eat of the fruit of this tree you will surely die. The moment they ate of the fruit of the tree Adam and Eve lost their robe of light and the death process began, until they were dead.

One thousand years during which the saved get answers to their questions, the evil one has time to think and the rebellious rest, awaiting the final confrontation when the evil of all time faces the righteous of all time and God steps up to reveal justice. Revelation chapter 13 describes a first beast and a second beast and then we read of an Image to The Beast. The mark of authority is clearly announced and acknowledged by the first beast which is also described in Daniel chapter 7 as the Little Horn Power.
